Stacey & Matt had a beautiful November day for their wedding. They chose the ACE Conference center. This was the first time I had an opportunity to work there and may I say it was great! Cheryl Anne O’Neil and her staff were just the best. Everything we needed to help the couple to get great images they did! I highly recommend this venue. Stacey and Matt are away on their honeymoon I wish them a great time and all the best!

Last May I had the pleasure to be the photographer for Kate Banse & Michael Clegg’s wedding. We started our day at the Omni Hotel where we did their first glance or reveal photos. I always love those, everyone is so excited! Then we took the limo to the Philadelphia Art Museum for bridal party and Bride and Groom photos. The Art Museum has so many wonderful spots to make great Images from. For me, I do love the city scape(Rocky shot) photo. I know it’s been done, but it’s a good one! Many great shots have come from there.

We then strolled around the Museum to the Waterworks where the ceremony was to begin. What a great place for a wedding! The other nice thing about the Waterworks is all the area for portraits. Great light and beautiful back drops!

From there we were off to the Down Town Club. Always a good time and wonderful venue.

Michael is in the Air Force ,he is stationed In Mississippi and Kate is back here in Philly. I know Michael had to leave his Bride a few days after the wedding for military duty. I have great respect for those who sacrifice and serve our country.

I had the honor and privilege to be chosen for a very fun assignment . Kelly -Ayn McKay – Director of Sales and Marketing at Culinary Concepts – arranged a photo shoot at the Philadelphia Masonic Temple, and I was privileged to be chosen to take the photographs. Culinary Concepts is the exclusive caterer of this magnificent venue, located just across from City Hall in Center City Philadelphia. I was also honored that Mid Atlantic Events magazine used these images for their magazine cover and throughout the  article itself.

From the perspective of a photographer, I was in awe of the grandeur and architecture of the building.  In my many years doing commercial and architectural photography I think this facility will always stand out in my mind due to its unique opulence and splendor.  Truly breathtaking, and likely one of the hidden gems of Philadelphia.

The Masonic Temple is a very unique and Interesting place for a wedding.  Here are some photos that were not used in the magazine but I think you will enjoy!

A few weeks ago I was approached by Brian Lipstein of Henry A.Davidson,Master Tailors and image consultants. Brian had been involved with the Love Of a Lifetime wedding. His company had provided the Tux for Matt the groom. I was very flattered that he would want to use my photos to advertise his company.

A few weeks ago, I was asked by Meryl Snow from Feastivities Catering to photograph their new facility, The Stotesbury Mansion, so that she would have images to use to help promote the property.  Now, this isn’t the first time I’ve been asked to do this sort of work, nor will it likely be the last, I guess it’s sort of one of my specialties. I was very honored to be asked.  The reason I felt compelled to mention this in a blog post is that although I was happy to help Meryl by providing these images, she did something very nice for me in return which was not only unexpected, but generous and thoughtful.

As it happens, the night she asked me to photograph the Mansion was also the night she was hosting an event for The Society of Wedding Planners (SWP), an organization of wedding industry professionals which I am not affiliated with.  Feastivities has been good to my photography business,  so as far as I was concerned  I was happy to do Meryl this favor in return.  It was the least I could do.  What was completely unexpected (and unnecessary, although greatly appreciated) was that the day of the photo shoot and the SWP event, Meryl went out of her way to list me as a sponsor for the event itself, again helping me to promote my company, and without me even asking.

Meryl, thank you.  Not only do you run an outstanding catering business, but you are a class act as well I was honestly touched by that gesture. It only goes to show what a true professional you are, and reminds me how lucky I am to be working beside people like yourself.  It is reassuring in a world that is too often “me, me, me” oriented that there are still people out there who will go the extra mile for someone else, particularly when it was completely unexpected.  I think this is also an examlpe of ones business ethic, or credo.  If Meryl will go the extra mile for the photographer who is doing her a favor, I can only imagine the lengths she will go to for her customers… I’d bet it’s a lot more than a mile.

If you are a bride or groom reading this post believe me when I say Stotesbury Mansion is a very “cool” place. I loved the pool room and the ballroom is “over the top”. If I were to write a review of this space I would say it has a great vibe. Much of that has to do with Feastivities and Offshoots, who created such a beautiful, exciting, and breathtaking decor .

On November 20th I had the pleasure to be the photographer for Sara & Phillip’s wedding at the Union league of Philadelphia. They had a wonderful day a bit chilly and breezy  but very nice.

I enjoy coming to the Union League, Abby Kanak and her staff are top notch. They are always ready to help and make us feel welcome. When you enter the Union League you first notice the beautiful rooms and furniture. As you venture further into the space you realize the history this place has.

My approach with this wedding was to be somewhat formal ,sophisticated and classic. The bride and groom did not want to travel around town they wanted to stay close to the Union league. So we used various spots in and around the building.  Sara’s dress being so elegant really inspired me to go for that “old school look”.

I want to Thank Raymond Moul and Phil Mantis for their great work. Most of all Thanks Sara and Phillip for a great day! I wish you all the best:)

The fall is a beautiful time of the year. Even though the light is dimming and the days are short the good ones are so sweet. Kelly and Matt are a very cool couple and very much in love. I had a great time with them . This was the first time I can recall that a bride and groom got ready together. Even though it was out of the “norm” it was very special.

Kelly and Matt had a small wedding , but a large amount of LOVE from friends and family. It goes to show you don’t need a huge wedding to have a great time.

I wish Kelly and Matt all the best!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to photograph Katrina and Scott for their engagment session. It was just one of those days where everything was just right. I always provide the opportunity for my couples to do an engaement session. This is a great way for us to get to know and trust each other.

I’m looking forward to next May and their wedding day. Congratulations!

Hello everyone it has been a very busy summer season! Thanks to Dave Williams(Cinemacake) I finally figured out how to post video on my blog. This is a same day edit from Dave he is more than video person he is a film maker. I must take a bit of credit since he used some of my old glass for this movie:) On the serious side this video shows me in action. You will notice a guy with cameras and no hair popping up in various scenes.

This wedding day was very high profile and required much planning. As you can see we had two ceremonies one a Jewish service and one a civil service. I was working with the best of the best in Philadelphia, as you will see in the credits. Everyone was blown away by the photos and this video. The video documents Faye and Matts day and some of the events leading up to their special day. It also documents how I work and the results (photos) can be seen in a earlier post(Love of a Lifetime May 23 2010). Yes it was me leading the crowd doing the wave!

The message that I want folks to get is that I can do all kinds of weddings. From the large and high profile to very intimate and low key. I tell the story of your day however it unfolds.

I am very fortunate and blessed to have been chosen to be the photographer for this event. I had a wonderful time with Faye and Matt before, during and after their wedding day. They are a wonderful couple.
